◉ INTRO

How we measure
your athlete.

VALD, BridgeAthletic and Cronometer at OsteoAlign Performance. Always measured, never guessed.

Every athlete is tested on day one, trained from a program built on those numbers, and tested again throughout training. Every month you receive a report measuring your athlete’s progress. We use three tools to do it: VALD to measure, BridgeAthletic to deliver the training, and Cronometer to fuel it.

◉ VALD · HOW WE MEASURE
MEASURE

VALD: how we measure.

VALD makes the testing technology used by professional teams, colleges and sports-medicine clinics worldwide. We use four of its systems.

ForceDecks (dual force plates)

What it tests
Two plates, one under each foot, measure how much force your athlete produces, how fast, and how evenly between the left and right leg during jumps, landings and balance tests.
Shapes the program
Tells us whether an athlete needs more raw strength or more speed and spring, so we know which to prioritize in their training block.
Manages injury risk
Flags left-right imbalances and landing mechanics that are hard to see by eye, so we can address them early.

DynaMo (handheld strength and mobility tester)

What it tests
Measures the strength of individual muscles (shoulder, hip, groin, hamstring, grip) and joint range of motion, comparing one side to the other.
Shapes the program
Weak or tight areas get specific exercises added to the plan instead of a generic routine.
Manages injury risk
Shows the shoulder and hip weaknesses common in throwing and skating athletes, so we can build them up as the season loads them.

GymAware (bar speed tracker)

What it tests
A sensor clipped to the bar measures how fast every rep moves, along with power output.
Shapes the program
Weights are set by bar speed rather than guesswork, so each athlete trains in the right zone for strength, power or speed that day.
Manages injury risk
When bar speed drops, it shows fatigue in real time, and we cut the set short instead of grinding out reps with breaking-down technique.

SmartSpeed (laser timing gates)

What it tests
Wireless timing gates measure sprint speed, acceleration, change of direction and reaction time to the hundredth of a second.
Shapes the program
Split times show whether an athlete is losing time at the start, at top speed or in the turn, so speed work targets the weakest link.
Manages training load
Tracking speed over time helps us manage how hard athletes sprint.

Testing starts on entry and is repeated throughout training, adjusted as your athlete progresses. Every month you receive a report measuring your athlete’s progress.

◉ BRIDGEATHLETIC · HOW WE DELIVER
DELIVER

BridgeAthletic: how we deliver the training.

BridgeAthletic is the app that holds your athlete’s individual training program. Pro and college strength staffs use it to build, assign and track training. Your coach builds the plan from the testing results, and every set, rep and weight your athlete completes is recorded. CONFIRM · Pro / college usage claim with BridgeAthletic.

How your athlete uses it

  1. Download the free BridgeAthletic app and log in with the invite from your coach.
  2. Before each session, complete the short readiness check-in (sleep, soreness, energy).
  3. Open the day’s workout. Each exercise has a demo video, so there is no guessing on form.
  4. Log the weight and reps for every set as you go and check off each exercise.
  5. Report anything that felt off, and we will adjust.
  6. Away at a tournament? The modified travel program is in the same app.

Why it matters

Your coach sees exactly what was done, not what was remembered. Progress on every lift is tracked automatically, so personal bests are never missed and the program adjusts from real numbers.

◉ CRONOMETER · HOW WE FUEL
FUEL

Cronometer: how we fuel the training.

Cronometer is a nutrition tracking app that breaks down what your athlete eats into calories, protein, carbs, fat, and vitamins and minerals. Athletes connected to our coaching account get Cronometer Gold, the premium version, at no extra cost. Your coach sees their food log on a professional dashboard. We use it to make sure athletes are getting enough fuel for the work they are doing.

How your athlete uses it

Why it matters for an athlete

Strength and speed are built during recovery, and recovery runs on food. Young athletes training hard often under-eat without realizing it, which stalls progress and raises the risk of injury and illness. Cronometer shows whether your athlete is actually eating enough to support the work, rather than guessing.

◉ HOW IT ALL WORKS TOGETHER
TOGETHER

How it all works together.

Day one gives us the full picture. In one assessment we learn how much force your athlete produces and whether both legs share the load (ForceDecks), which individual muscles and joints are weak or tight (DynaMo), how fast they accelerate and change direction (SmartSpeed), and how their lifts move under load (GymAware). Add a few days of food logging in Cronometer and we know whether they are eating enough to support the work. Your coach brings the VALD testing results and the Cronometer food log together at each review, so every program change is based on all three.

Training targets the real gap

Two athletes with the same jump height can need opposite programs. The data tells us which one is which.

Progress is measured

Your athlete is tested again throughout training, and every month you receive a report showing what changed, in whichever direction.

Risks are easier to spot

A growing imbalance, falling bar speed or a run of under-fueled days shows up in the data, so we can adjust the plan sooner.

The plan keeps up with the season

Training load is adjusted for in-season, off-season and tournament weeks using the athlete’s own numbers.

◉ WHO SEES YOUR ATHLETE'S DATA
YOUR DATA

Who sees your athlete's data.

Testing, training and nutrition data stays with your athlete’s performance team. It is kept separate from OsteoAlign clinic records and is not shared outside the team without your consent. For athletes under 18, a parent or guardian consents before testing begins. CONFIRM · Have a privacy lawyer confirm this wording before it goes out.
